Multi-task Your Wellness!
5 Easy Things You Can Do Starting Today!
Jog in place and around the room while folding laundry.
Tone your legs, butt and improve digestion while writing in your journal. I like to vent first to my journal, and then when I get my grievances out, I list what I'm grateful for (can't fill a frustration-filled bucket with anything, even gratitude...). It looks similar to a "superman" pose. You lie on your tummy, see the picture, and lift your legs. A butterfly pose is another option and "it improves blood circulation in the lower body that is stalled due to long sitting hours."
Practice mindfulness and kindness, the benefits of which are enormous, while crafting your email responses.
Get your lymph moving while watching TV with few easy self-massage techniques. Or do some tapping, also known as “Emotional Freedom Technique”. It can help process difficult emotions and negative beliefs that are deeply ingrained in us.
De-stress and have some "me-time" while indulging in a dessert! Focus on your senses - what it looks like, what it smells like, what it tastes like, what it feels like and what you hear while you take the time to savor every bite (that just reminded me of the big, bad wolf). BTW - at times, being bad, in a good way, is empowering! Bonus points - hold your breath between each bite and chew thoroughly!
Notes: I love these two recipes, but if you have a favorite, do share!
Sharlotka (Russian apple "pie") - I use tiger nut flour instead of regular flour and 1/4 cup sugar plus 1/4 tsp stevia. I use the "Now" brand.
Banana Bread - I use tiger nut flour instead of almond flour and cacao powder instead of tapioca. I have also used ghee instead of coconut oil and bake in muffin cups. My son loves this for breakfast or snacks.
