3 THINGS THAT HELP BLOATING FAST!

I don't know about you, but I'm just not myself when I feel bloated. Everything seems to take so much effort - showering, getting dressed, and all the daily errands. I'm not even talking about exercising.

I hear from many people I work with that they think that's a normal part of perimenopause/menopause. The truth is – when your gut is functioning as it should, most of the symptoms you think are normal disappear.

For example, research shows that even anxiety and depression can be gut-health-related (1). Did you know that because we are all unique, gut issues express themselves differently? Auto-immune conditions, including eczema, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, IBS, etc., all express the same root cause – gut dysbiosis. Similarly, SIBO (small intestinal bacteria overgrowth) and SIFO (small intestinal fungal overgrowth) are all expressions of abnormal microbiota.

Gut imbalances have different expressions. Triggers are different. Therefore, an individualized approach works best.

No one can tell you exactly what will work best for you. You are the expert of you. You may need to experiment a little. Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation offering "easy" drinks or one supplement that supposedly works like a miracle. Balancing your gut will take some time, but if you stick to a plan, you can feel great. There is a solution that will work for you.

Your feelings and hunches should serve as your guide.

If you don't have a food allergy but suspect a sensitivity, temporarily remove that food and see if you notice a difference.

If you get bloated from kombucha, sauerkraut, or other probiotic foods, there is a good chance you have some imbalance in your gut. You should not eat fermented foods until you correct the imbalance. Then, you can slowly introduce these foods. Please note that vinegar, including Apple Cider Vinegar, should be avoided.

Here are three things you can do today to feel better!

  1. Remove dairy, gluten, fruit, and anything that is prepackaged. If you can't abstain from fruit, eat it away from other foods, as it tends to ferment when combined with other foods.

  2. Don't eat raw white onions and cruciferous vegetables.

  3. Add spices to your meals - oregano, thyme, cayenne pepper, and ginger. I love oregano oil. It tastes awful, but my tummy feels amazing after three days of taking three drops under my tongue twice a day. Chewing ginger before meals makes a huge difference.

Side note: When your gut is healthy, fiber, fermented foods, and cruciferous veggies and fruit are beneficial, but when you have imbalances, they will further bloat you.

Here are some bonus supplements you can try, but check with your doctor first:

A) Serrapeptase

B) Berberine

C) Clove oil.
